They’ll transform you into a silver screen starlet from the golden-era Hollywood flicks, just like my idols Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and Betty Page. Let’s take it back to the 1940’s and 1950’s when women adorned themselves in a classically beautiful dress.

Behind the veil

Hats added the final touch of 1950s glamour to a woman or girl's outfit, particularly in the early fifties. In London and New York fashion-conscious ladies wore veiled hats when paying formal visits.

I love the dramatic and mystic look of the veil, it's like an unsuccessful attempt to hide a beautiful face, like they were playing a coquettish game.

Someday I'm gonna buy a vintage pattern like the ones below, pick a beautiful fabric and make myself a new favorite dress.

8th night of Chanukkah

Presents

Having birthday on Christmas eve means that I get lots of presents on this time of the year. Here are some of them:

Three Audrey Hepburn films from my room mate A, red knickers from H, Ladey Chatterley's Lover from Danielle, lipsticks in different shades of pink and red from Julius, small necklace from my host family and the bigger necklace from H's family, the book 'Ingen i verden' from my little sister. I also got a Nirvana CD from my friend Ben.

Tri orísky pro Popelku (Three Wishes for Cinderella)

It's a Christmas tradition in Norway to watch this Czech version of Cinderella.
The costumes are very weird but I have to say that the prince is quite hot!
